SETIS.EXP Expansion modules provides several I/O configuration possibilities to IDACS or SETIS CPU. The modules, fully scalable, are added according to the designed architecture for the telecontrol system and are connected through an expansion bus. Their addresses are configured using external microswitches located in the base or the front panel.

These modules do not have intelligence, as it is located in the IDACS or SETIS CPU, and are responsible for capturing the I/O of the RTU. Each module incorporates protection and signal processing according to the norms specified in the device datasheet..

Six types of modules can be chosen with different combinations of digital or analog inputs / outputs (see applications and datasheet tab for details).

Expansion module can be used as I/O module in combination with both SETIS and IDACS RTU. All modules can have an address assigned using external microswitches. They can be expanded via bus. And can be mounted onto DIN rail (35mm). Different models can feed at 12/24/48Vcc.Diverse combinations of I/O are available:

  ID : 32 digital inputs distributed in blocks of 4 inputs with one electrical common per block. Capture voltage : 48Vdc or 125Vdc.

  IM : 24 digital inputs and 4 monostable double commands using relays (normally open potential-free contact). Digital inputs are distributed in blocks of 8 inputs with one electrical common per block and capture voltage can be chosen between 48 and 125 Vdc. A double command consist in a group of 2 mutually exclusive relays.)

  AI : 16 analog inputs. Captures 1 mA / 0-20mA / 4-20mA current loop or voltage 2.5 Vcc. 14bits A / D converter.

  MD8: 8 double digital outputs. 8 monostable double commands using relays (normally open potential-free contact). A double command consist in a group of 2 mutually exclusive relays.

  R8 : 8 double digital outputs. 8 bistable double commands using relays (normally open potential-free contact). Real-time customizable pulse length. A double command consist in a group of 2 mutually exclusive relays.

  SA8: 8 analog outputs. 0-20mA current loops.
