Dr. Sam is a web-based application for remote analysis and monitoring of RTUs.
The application works as a web server for intranet users and as a control center for the RTU. Thus, users select one of the RTUs in the telecontrol
system and access either the RTU or a Control Suite SCADA, in case one exists, through a simple and intuitive menu.
The application connects with a RTU using IEC-60870-5-104 protocol and displays RTU status, historical logs, active alarms, analog inputs
(both graphics and lists of present values)etc... from the local telecontrol system. It also allows downloading of this information using
the file transfer system defined in IEC-60870-5-104 protocol.
